St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner, which means the party prep has begun. And we all know, there’s no such thing as a party without snacks. We’ve got you covered with a cool, delicious party treat (not to mention, green to stay with the theme!) that’s bound to be devoured in minutes: White Chocolate Matcha Popcorn
White Chocolate Matcha Popcorn
Gluten Free
Makes approx. 9-10 cups popcorn
Ingredients
9-10 cups popcorn (or 1/3 cup popcorn kernels, popped)
6 oz white chocolate
1 ½ tsp Japanese matcha powder
Pinch of salt
Place popcorn on a large parchment lined baking sheet.
In a microwave safe bowl, microwave the white chocolate on HIGH for 10 second intervals, stirring at each interval, making sure to just heat it until 80% melted. Continue stirring it until the last 20% is melted. Then, Stir in the matcha powder and salt
Lightly drizzle the white chocolate mixture over the popcorn and stir gently to ensure consistent coverage.
Cool until chocolate hardens and store in an airtight container.
*Make sure the popcorn is fully cooled before adding the white chocolate
