Your Christmas trees are probably already up, but that doesn’t mean you can’t add some more decorations. Especially if they’re customized and adorable. Here are 3 DIY Ornaments (that also make a super cute add-on to a Christmas present)
#1: The BFFL Ornament
Large Clear Ornament
Instant Camera Photo (Fujifilm Instax Mini sized works best!)
White Glue (Optional)
Fill your ornament 1/4 way with silver glitter. The carefully fold your polaroid photo to slip it inside of the ornament. Put the ornament lid back on top and hang it carefully!
*Optional: to enhance your ornament, you can use white glue to make a design around the top, and cover it with silver glitter.
Clear Ornament (that opens in half, we found one at Dollarama)
Small Air Plant
Open your ornament, and fill it 1/4 way with sand and gravel. Then place in the air plant, and secure the ornament closed with a piece of ribbon or twine. Don’t forget to take proper care of your air plant!
#3: Monogram Glitz
Spray Paint colour of choice
White Glue (with a thin spout for drawing ease)
Spray paint your ornament evenly and thoroughly, allowing it to dry for at least 15 minutes. Once it’s dry, take your white glue, and carefully draw a monogrammed letter of your choice. You’ll want to make the thickness of the letter larger than your regular writing. Cover the glue in your glitter colour of choice, and dust of the extra. Taa-Daa!
