This past Wednesday, we had the privilege of supporting Youth Without Shelter (a local Toronto youth shelter) at their annual event Cover Me Urban. With the aim of raising funds for YWS’ mission of ending youth homelessness, Cover Me Urban was a night of music, entertainment and good nosh.
To get a glimpse of what went down that night, take a quick scroll through our pictures below!
Demetres’ marketing specialist Wei and a member of Team YWS preparing some ice cream samples… but what did we serve?
Samples of our spring 2018 seasonal flavour of course: the Salted Honey Crackle!
We weren’t the only ice cream lovers there that night 😛
Our ice cream samples were kept frozen thanks to the magic of dry ice!
We were in good company that night – just look at these adorable mini cupcakes courtesy of The Happy Bakers!
And just look at this beautifully dressed slice of fresh mozzarella by Scaddabush 😍
In between mouthfuls of delicious morsels of food, guests were invited to play some arcade games…
…and be serenaded by a silver Elvis!
Some beautiful henna art was being done as well…
…and many guests took the opportunity to bid on some premo prizes at the silent auction.
Of course, one of our favourite parts of the night was seeing the guests enjoy some ice cream!
It’s hard to frown when you’ve got ice cream in hand 😉
The universal expression when greeted with ice cream 😌
Thanks for having us YWS!
It was a blast seeing everyone come together for a worthy cause, and we’re happy to learn that the event raised over $140,000 for Youth Without Shelter! A special thank you also to our Artisan Kevin for assiduously making and packaging the hundreds of ice cream samples we handed out – we couldn’t have done it without you!
