Organic edible roses*
1 egg white (pasteurized, if possible)
1 tsp water
1 c super fine sugar
*Ensure you consult your florist to confirm that the roses are safe to consume.
In a small bowl, whisk egg white and water together
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Carefully pluck a rose petal, and using a pastry brush lightly brush both sides of the petal with the egg wash mixture.
Sprinkle sugar on both sides and set on baking sheet. Repeat with as many petals as needed.
Let dry for a couple hours or overnight, until hardened. Use within a day or two as they will tend to wilt over time.
